Las Vegas-themed 750S pays tribute to Bruce McLaren and F1 success
McLaren Special Operations (MSO) has unveiled a one-of-a-kind 750S supercar, dedicated to the upcoming Formula 1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas. This unique creation is a celebration of McLaren's racing legacy and the brand's journey from heritage to modern-day innovation.
The 750S is adorned with 'Easter Eggs' that pay homage to McLaren's racing success over the decades. At the heart of this tribute is a nod to Bruce McLaren's iconic 1970 racing helmet, prominently displayed within a heart motif on the front bumper. This helmet, worn during his final racing season, is a symbol of his enduring legacy.
On the front right guard, a significant milestone is marked: the Muriwai Hill Climb trophy, the first race Bruce McLaren won. This trophy is accompanied by his racing number for that race, adding to the historical significance of the vehicle.
Within the Muriwai Hill Climb trophy, a hand-painted motif reveals Bruce McLaren's Muriwai house, located in Walton-on-Thames. The house is depicted in Muriwai White, an official MSO color, creating a unique and personalized touch.
On the left side of the car, a speedy Kiwi symbolizes the brand's evolution from its heritage to modern-day innovation. This Kiwi is a subtle yet powerful reminder of McLaren's Kiwi roots.
In addition to these tributes, the supercar's panels showcase a variety of Las Vegas landmarks, including the desert, a pyramid, and a bunch of stars representing the US flag. These elements create a unique fusion of McLaren's racing history and the vibrant atmosphere of Las Vegas.
This Las Vegas-themed 750S is not just a car; it's a testament to McLaren's rich history and its ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of automotive excellence.
